Combination Skin Solution: Vitamin C Essential Moisturizer

Combination skin types sometimes have to deal with the worst of both worlds… too oily in some places, and too dry in others. And depending on weather, hormones, stress, and fatigue… those issues can go from bad to worse in the blink of an eye.

We think we have the solution.

Our Vitamin C Face Moisturizer addresses more issues than a little bit. It’s chock full of soothing Aloe, Organic Raw Honey, and healing Black Currant Seed Oil. While highly moisturizing, none of these ingredients are heavily ‘oily’ in nature… so they will soothe the skin and add moisture without adding weight or shine. Our formula is also chock full of brightening ingredients like Organic Essential Orange, Lemon, and Grapefruit.

One small dollop of this rich moisturizer will help set and balance combination skin, and prep it for whatever you wish to do next.

Winter Skin Care Routine

The weather has been all over the place here in Southern California, with the exception of one thing… the nights have been COLD. Like.. cold and really drying for my skin. To compensate, I’ve switched up my nighttime skin care routine, and added a few new moisturizers to the lineup.

I still use my Habibi cleanser (Vitamin C)– with the Clarisonic of course, and Moisturizer (Vitamin C)… but I’m now boosting the combo with the following.

Before putting on my moisturizer, I use the REN AHA Resurfacing Serum:

That’s been helping a LOT. I wake up the next morning, and the double dose of vitamin C has REALLY brightened up my skin. And my acne prone skin just drinks up all of those fruit acids. The combo has been really good to me.

When my skin is really dry, I pat some of the REN Rose Moisture Defense Serum over the dryest areas:

The smell of this stuff is just DIVINE… puts me right to sleep. I’ve been topping that off with Shiseido’s Benefiace Eye Cream (which behaves like eye creams that go for HUNDREDS of dollars)…

I keep trying other eye creams (including REALLY expensive versions that go for up to $300 dollars), and I still like this one the best. It’s very hydrating, and a little goes a long way. A single jar lasts me about six months.

That’s it! I try to keep my routines fairly straightforward, because too many products will cause my skin to go wonky and totally break out. This has been working very well for me so far.
