Nighttime networking called for something bright, but wearable. So I used a little Vapour…a little Sugarpill… and hoped for the best:
Senna Barely Base
Chanel Blush in Malice
Vapour Organic Eyeshadow in Obsess (base)
Sugarpill Eyeshadow in Acidberry (lids)
Yaby Eyeshadow in Lemondade (inner corners)
MAC Eyeshadow in Soft Brown (crease)
Kjaer Weiss Eyeshadow in Magnetic (above crease)
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Zero (smudged along lashline)
Estee Lauder Sumptuous Mascara
Chanel Lip Pencil in Nude
Chanel Glossimer in Gold Light
The latest addition to Spirit Beauty Lounge comes from Vapour Organics. They’ve released three new eyeshadow shades, to help brighten up the Summer…
From the Left:
Seduce (Dark Purple)
Obsess (Mint Green)
Provoke (Bright Pink)
Of the entire selection of Vapour Organics Eyeshadows (and it’s a pretty formidable selection), these are definitely my favorite. I don’t know if they changed the formula or something, but these really grab the skin and the color is potent to boot. The earlier colors (especially the mattes) came out ‘greasy’ … which did not bode well for my oily eyelids. I’ve used these already and found that they blend out perfectly with fingers or a brush… and work well alone, or as a base for a complementary color.
You can find out more about Vapor Organics Cosmetics HERE.
My latest batch of goodies arrived from Spirit Beauty Lounge (love that place!): Vapour Organics Mesmerize Eye Shadows…
I have to say, I like these better than the RMS Beauty variety. They come in a convenient twist tube, and the colors are ‘drier’ on application, and less oil-based. I found that they blend out very well with fingers or a brush.
Stealth (dark shimmer green)
Night (dark shimmer blue)
Charm (matte coral)
Cinder (shimmer pink-beige)
Lyric (shimmer medium purple)
Flash (matte light brown)
Dream (shimmer light green)
Smolder (shimmer dark brown)
Storm (shimmer dark grey)
Sugar (shimmer golden pink)
Swatches to come.. as soon as I figure out how to photograph them. My camera is NOT cooperating… boo! I seriously need a new one. I’m working on it. In the meantime, if you’re interested, you can find these babies at http://www.spiritbeautylounge.com
. Ciao for now!
File this under one of my favorite rediscoveries of late… the Spirit Beauty Lounge brings skin care and beauty brands that are organic or naturally sourced, to one place for your shopping enjoyment. I love this website. I came upon it years ago looking for something natural… then forgot about it as other brands and ideas began to crowd the small space that is my brain. Recently, an email from owner Spirit Demerson brought the website back to the foreground, so I decided to poke around and see what’s what.
From hair care to makeup, Spirit Beauty Lounge truly covers all the bases… naturally and beautifully. I am giddy with the explosion of natural and organic makeup… it’s about time! So, I placed an order, and waited patiently for my goodies to arrive…
4 days later, a box showed up at my doorstep:
Here’s what I ended up with…
Vapor Organic Beauty Luminous Foundation
Now, here’s something noteworthy… I was able to pick that color (which is perfect for my skin tone) using just the description on the website. Spirit Beauty Lounge compares skin tones (light/medium/medium-dark/dark) with undertones (pink/yellow/yellow & red/red) and lines them up alongside celebrities. So, I’d end up with medium-dark/yellow undertones/looks like: Beyonce/Halle Berry. It actually works out very well, as my foundation turned out to be a dead ringer for my unique skin tone/undertone combination.
RMS Beauty “Un-Cover” Concealer
Kjaer Weis Eyeshadow in Earthy Calm
I have to say, I’m very happy with the products, the very simple procedure for choosing my right foundation/concealer color (this is HUGE for folks who buy foundations/concealers online), and the service. I love this place. I’ll definitely be back to visit Spirit Beauty Lounge
in the future!
I used a series of organic and natural makeup items that I got from Spirit Beauty Lounge (www.spiritbeautylounge.com) in this FOTD… and mixed it up with a little Chanel. Here’s what happened:
