FOTD: Vanities

I FINALLY got around to doing an FOTD… I know it’s been a while. I used the new Chanel Vanities Quad. Once again, that golden purple color is DIVINE. It has officially pulled me away from MAC Trax:

Illamasqua Skin Base (#14 and #15)
Chanel Loose Powder (Dore)
Chanel Soho Story Blush
Chanel Vanities Quad:
Shimmer Purple on lids
Dark Purple on outer crease
Shimmer pink on inner corner
Pale Pink on browbone
Clinique Gel Liner on lashline
Chanel Eye Pencil in Taupe on waterline
Chanel Intimitable Intense Mascara (Purple)
Shiseido Shimmering Rouge Lipstick in Iron Maiden

FOTD: Chanel Taupe Grise

I wanted to do a ‘smoky eye’ with one color (sort of) and a paint. So I pulled out the Chanel Taupe Grise eyeshadow from the Autumn 2010 Collection and the MUFE Aqua Cream in #18 (the lavender one). Here’s the result:

I just popped the cream on the lid with my fingers, then used a fluffy brush to dust the Taupe shadow almost up to the brow. I took a small shader and patted on the color on the outer lid and in the crease, then blended through. Easy peasy.
The eyeliner on my waterline is MAC Raven, and the mascara is from Rock & Republic.
Rest of the face was simple: foundation, powder, lip gloss, done.
Total work time: 15 minutes.
