I wanted to do something unexpected, but wearable to a regular 9-5. So I popped a little red in the corners of my eyes…
FOTD: Bronze & Red
I wanted to do something warm and wearable with bronze and red. So I pulled out some old favorites and matched them up with a couple of newcomers…
FOTD: Pop Art Pink
Okay, this is was admittedly slap-dash. I was moving fast with no plan and worried about daily crap… like everything but concentrating on doing my makeup. SMH. Anyways… here it is:
EYES
Suqqu Eyebrow Pen in Moss Green
Armani Eyes To Kill Silk Eyeshadow in #9
Kat Von D Eyeliner (lashline)
Stila Smudge Stick in Stone (waterline)
MAC False Lashes Mascara
Lip Service: Supercalifragilipstick (the other three)
Kate Spade packed up and shipped out my last three lipsticks. They are ALL wearable… omg. I love them. I’m so happy with the tone and texture of these lippies… LOVE!
Now, I know that the pink and the fuchsia colors look similar… they are NOT. I don’t know why they photographed that way. The fuchsia is muted and very wearable. The pink is bright and a little coral, but still pretty muted and very flattering. The red, for some dumb reason, appears to be ‘skipping’ in the photo. I triple checked my lips before and after the photo… and the color wears solid. So I really don’t know what that’s about.
I am very impressed by these lipsticks, and recommend them to anyone who is a fan of a fool proof color, wearable formula, and has a love of anything cute… girly… or vintage. These lipsticks are all of those things… and more. I can see getting LOTS of use out of them.
FOTD: Color blocking
Okay, for some reason I had in my head that I wanted to ‘color block’ my eyes. I chose coral and purple to get the job done. Here’s what happened:
FOTD: Lagons
I have to take back what I said about Chanel Vanities being the most wearable of the two quads. Chanel Lagons is VERY wearable as well. I was impressed by the silkiness of the shadows and how effortlessly they blended together.
Supercalifragilipstick: Bashful Blush
So you guys know that the minute I found out about this lipstick, I just HAD to try it out for myself. I joined the ‘pre order’ for all four colors, and the first of them arrived yesterday. For some reason, they’re sending them one at a time.
The first one I received was Bashful Blush:
The formula is EXCELLENT. Distinctly Poppy King. She really left her mark on this formula and color transfer. The lipstick wears like Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine, but without the shine factor. It goes on easily… and the color wears soft and opaque. There is no weight to this lipstick at ALL.
I recommend this lippie for anyone who doesn’t want to go through changes about applying their lip color. It’s fool proof… like, put-on-in-the-dark proof. The color is subtle (you won’t be rocking any dramatic lip looks with this one), but it’s elegant and adorable all at once.
Kudos to Kate Spade and Poppy King. Supercalifragilipstick really is… Practically Perfect in Every Way.
