I think I’m wearing about 15 pounds of makeup in this FOTD… I was trying to make a point. You should know that I blended the HECK out of everything… and still in the pictures, you can see parts that look like they need a little more. This was a bit of a lesson for me. Despite the many layers of concealer and highlighter, the makeup still came out looking pretty natural in real life. However, the flash on my camera lit me in most UNNATURAL fashion:
Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge (03)
Le Metier de Beaute Classic Flawless Finish Foundation (11)
MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer in NC42 (under eyes)
By Terry Touche Veloute (under eyes/around nose)
Cargo Blush in Laguna
Chanel Blush in Or (highlight)
Louise Young Eyeshadow in Pom Pom/BlackBear (brows)
MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre (lashline to brow)
MAC Pigment in Lithe (lashline to brow)
Guerlain Kohl in Black Frida (waterline/tightline)
Smoke & Mirrors Beauty Las Vegas Lashes
MAC Lip Pencil in Mouth Off
Armani Lip Gloss in Brown 200
Now, all of this drama was for my Wedding Anniversary (6 years), so as soon as I got finished playing in makeup… hubby and I hopped over to one of our favorite restaurants: Vibrato Jazz & Grill. www.vibratogrilljazz.com/
Took us FOREVER to get a freakin’ picture together with at least PART of our faces in it. He finally told me to use this one, even though you can only see a little bit of him.
Our talent for the evening was a lovely lady from Iceland… who had the most amazing voice. I’m always blown away by the ‘control’ needed to really hold a jazz note. Her performance was exquisite. I think the two people sitting there in front were on a first date. Hubby and I did a bit of ‘people watching’ , and we’re pretty sure it was their first time out together.
Of note: Tom Jones was there to eat and relax. My mother-in-law is going to LOVE that when I tell her. Our songstress tried to get him to come up and sing, but he declined. We applauded him anyway.
All in all, it was a good night, and a great Anniversary. We’ll do it again next year!
