I know lots of folks were all about ‘red’ and strong pouts and what not for Valentine’s Day. I decided to keep it simple, soft and on the pink side. I wanted something more ‘wearable’ (to get through dinner and lots of smooching) without any need for touchups.

When this palette (which I just discovered is an Eye & Cheek Palette) first debuted last year, I never got a chance to really inspect it. I found one at the local Beauty Supply Store, and figured better late than never…
The two colors on each end are eyeshadows. The color in the middle is a matte blush. The sizes of each pot are huge… bigger than Make Up For Ever. And that beautiful pattern doesn’t disappear without some serious use.
The swatches really sold me on this palette… the lavender warms beautifully on my brown skin, and the plum color is just elegant. Every color is extremely silky and blends beautifully.
Now the flash totally ate these swatches… Boo! Trust me, they are stronger than that. I fully intend to use that blush as an eyeshadow, because it’ll totally work as one.
I love this palette. I wish that I’d have discovered it sooner… but I’m glad I got to get one before it went the way of the dinosaur.
