I mixed shimmers for this… but kept the overall look ‘warm.’ Back to the Senna Palettes… love these things!
This is one of the things that I live for: a color that looks COMPLETELY unwearable in the tube, only to find it flattering and quite wearable on a wide range of skin tones.
Armani’s new Rouge d’ Armani Sheer Lipstick in Pink 510 falls into that category:
I know… right? Looks totally unwearable. I picked it up out of pure curiosity, and I was pleasantly surprised.
What I think is that the sheer formula, coupled with a high shine finish makes this lipstick work. Despite the garish coral color in the tube, it actually wears like a warm medium toned pink. I rather like it. I do.
That sounds so much brighter than it actually came out. I used muted olive tones.. some brown… and a little coral:
Armani has hopped on the ‘sheer color’ bandwagon, with a fabulous selection of lipsticks just in time for the upcoming Summer season.
The jury is still out on the promo picture… especially since the lipstick is NOT that opaque in practical application. There’s also no product translation for the rest of the makeup on her face. It looks like she has vaseline on her lids… which I imagine would be fine if Armani was selling vaseline.
The color range is pretty extensive… there’s a shade for just about every skin tone. I was most impressed with the two ‘brights’ of the collection: Coral 300 and Pink 500:
