Lip Service: Guerlain Rouge Automatique (Rendezvous)

This is such a lovely color. Guerlain’s lipstick in Rendezvous is so flattering on such a wide range of skin tones… I absolutely love it.

On me it’s a very cool rose tone. On fairer skin tones, it’s a warmer rose with just the smallest hint of shimmer. It’s really lovely, and definitely going to be in heavy rotation come Summer.

Guerlain Holiday 2011: Flirt

So, I traded in the Rouge G in Bianca for a much better color (at a much better price)… the Guerlain Rouge Automatique in Flirt:

It’s a much better color. Better formula, much better pigment… and cheaper to boot! The Rouge G Lipsticks retail for $47… the Rouge Automatique Lipsticks are $35. My wallet was very happy about this little trade. I love this color. I actually wore it for an FOTD:

Guerlain Parure Extreme (Dore 24)
Chanel Loose Powder (Dore)
NARS Blush in Orgasm
Louise Young Eyeshadow in Pom Pom (brows)
Chanel Eyeshadow in Twilight (lids)
Chanel Eyeshadow in Taupe Grise (crease)
NARS Eyeshadow in Mekong (lashline/under outer waterline)
Sumita Eyeliner in Deep Plum
Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Mascara in Night Violet
Guerlain Rouge Automatique in Flirt

FOTD: Terracotta (again)

Eh, I’m in a Guerlain kind of mood. So I used mostly items from the Summer 2011 collection to bring together this look:

Guerlain Cream Eyeshadow in Maya (lids)
Guerlain Cream Eyeshadow in Bahia (browbone)
Guerlain Terracotta Kohl in Black Fakir (waterline)
Armani Eyes To Kill Mascara
Guerlain Tinted Moisturizer (brunettes)
Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer in Clair 01
Guerlain Terra Inca Radiant Powder
Chanel Lip Pencil in Peche
Guerlain Rouge Automatique in Jicky

FOTD: Quick Smoke

I had to move fast today, but I really wanted to do something smoky. So I used Armani Silk Eyeshadow in #2. One more perk about these eyeshadows, is that they are built for speed. I was able to smoke out my eyes in record time (8 minutes for the whole face)… no fallout… no issues.

Louise Young Eyeshadow in Black Bear (brows)
MAC Pigment in Naked Dark (lashline to browbone)
Armani Eyes To Kill Silk Eyeshadow in #2 (lids blended up past crease)
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Zero
Armani Eyes To Kill Mascara
Guerlain Parure Aqua Foundation (Dore 24)
Chanel Loose Powder (Dore)
Guerlain Rouge Automatique in Jicky

Lip Service. Guerlain Jicky & Terracotta 08

I finally managed to get another one of the Guerlain Rouge Automatique Lipsticks. The color ‘Jicky’ looks really brown in the tube, but goes on a sheer brownish nude. Love it! Check it out:

Looks DARK right? It’s not. It goes on a sheer lip tone… and is so moisturizing! I really think Guerlain hit it out of the park with these lipsticks. They are really awesome.

Gorgeous, right? I love it. You can put this one on in the dark. It jsut gives your lips an extra ‘lift’ without adding too much color. No shimmer.. this is totally creamy looking. It’s like your lips on their best day!

I also got an ‘in person’ look at the Guerlain Terra Inca Collection. They just killed it for summer. I dare say this is my favorite collection of all the major brands. I ended up with the Terracotta Lip Gloss in 08. From packaging to performance, this gloss just exceeds expectations:

The tube is so pretty. I really prefer these tubes over the regular Guerlain glosses. They’re like little treasures. Just beautiful.

Ya’ll know I’m a sucker for a good orange lippie. This one has an almost ‘liquid’ feel to it. Non sticky and just so flattering. Love!

Just a little lip service on a Friday. Ciao for now!

Lip Service: Guerlain Rouge Automatique

This is good. This is REALLY good. Guerlain upped the ante on lipstick formula, ease of use, and the coolest packaging I’ve seen in a rather long time. The ‘Rouge Automatique’ lipsticks are SOOOO smooth… and there are such lush colors to choose from. I admit being a little overwhelmed. I finally ended up with a gorgeous shade of berry-red… otherwise known as #125:

Stunning right? Push down that lovely little button, and the top slides back… then pure color emerges from the top of the case. You can do it one handed. No tops… no worries.

The formula is REALLY silky, and the color is rich and pure. This little piece of lip luxury also comes with a much more attractive price tag (compared to the regular $47-$49 asking price for Guerlain lipsticks): 35.00. It’s more than most, but still less than Guerlain normally asks for.

This color is so rich and lovely. There are plenty of colors to choose from… for every possible skintone. Guerlain did their homework with this new lipstick. Kudos.
