There are so many things to be said about a brand that begins with a professional (Kevyn Aucoin remains legendary and an inspiration to makeup artists around the world to this day), and maintains its professional roots even when being sold to an average consumer.
The Eyeshadow duo in #208 is one of more unique combinations of his entire collection. I love it because it’s warm and cool all at once. The colors are Frosted Jade and Bronze. I think it makes a wonderful combination for an unusual smoky eye.
As you can see, the pans are pretty big (on par with Tarte pan eyeshadows) and there are NO SPONGE-TIP APPLICATORS. No little annoying impractical miniature applicators or sponges taking up precious space in this compact. Just pure, saturated color. Love that.
That’s one swipe each. Just amazing. Kevyn Aucoin Eyeshadow Duos are available at Space NK.

NVEY released a new line of single eyeshadows, in an interesting mix of colors that a suited to both Holiday 2012 and maybe even Spring 2013.
All of these shadows are pigmented and very easy to blend. I much prefer the shimmer formula to the matte, I think. It seems more rich in texture and pigmentation.
For three days, Sugarpill put a flaming red (with silver sparkles) eyeshadow on the company website. For the life of me, I have no idea why they named it @#$%!… but hey. To each his/her own.
I swatched it using just my fingers. As always, Sugarpill goes above and beyond to provide incredible pigmentation. The formula is silky to the touch, and spread solidly with just one swipe.
The eyeshadow is now gone from the website, but maybe Sugarpill will bring it back. I think it’ll fit in nicely with the rest of my Sugarpill Collection.
