I tried to follow the same routine as MUA Rhona Samuels with my brows for this FOTD. I brushed them upwards with a spoolie, used a brown pencil to fill them in… then a color corrector to shape the arch from underneath.

Hey Guys,
I got the Arabian Nights Palette and the Ponderosa Cream Shadow from the NARS Holiday 2011 Collection:
Both look stunning in the pot. Ponderosa swatches true in practical application, but Arabian Nights needs a little help to truly shine. Observe:
I love the new look for the NARS Holiday 2011 Collection:
Very dark and mysterious… with an unexpected pop of orange color. I love the idea of that lipstick, although I worry that it’ll likely look like something that I already have and not stand out at all.
What I’m REALLY interested in is the Eyeshadow Trio in Arabian Nights:
I also like the cream shadow in Ponderosa.
But I’m not sure how that’s going to look in real life. I may need to swatch it before I commit to it. If it’s as lovely as the picture, it’ll go perfectly with NARS Mekong Eyeshadow, which is one of my staples.
I don’t know about this duo in Mandchourie just yet. I’m going to withhold opinion until I set it in person.
These are likely a pass for me. I have enough bronze pencils (that I rarely use) and that purple doesn’t look very unique to me at all. I much prefer the By Terry version.
NARS Lipstick in Joyous Red. The jury is still out on this. It’s described as an ‘Amber Red.’ I’ll need to see it in person before I form a final opinion on it.
Unless this Miss Liberty Blush blows me out of the water in swatches, it’ll likely be a pass for me. My perfect peach remains Chanel’s In Love Blush. This looks pale and shimmery, like it’ll work better as a highlight. Might be perfect for Fair Skinned Beauty’s though!
G-Spot Multiple. Hmmm… I don’t know. This is another one that is going to require ‘in person’ inspection.
Definite pass. Ashy lips (even those that masquerade as a ‘pale glow’) are NOT hot.
Overall, I like the idea of the collection, but when you break it down most of the colors look like they’ve been done before… in spades. I’m most interested in the trio and the cream shadow. Those will likely make their way home with me. The rest… we’ll see.
