FOTD: Touch of Red

I wanted to do something unexpected, but wearable to a regular 9-5. So I popped a little red in the corners of my eyes…

Koh Gen Do Moisture Foundation
Kevyn Aucoin Radiant Diaphonous Powder
Chanel Blush in In Love
Armani Eyes To Kill Silk Eyeshadow in #19 (lids)
Louise Young Eyeshadow in Pom Pom (crease)
Louise Young Eyeshadow in Black Bear (lashline)
Sugarpill Loose Shadow in Asylum (outer corner)
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Zero (waterline)
YSL Shocking Mascara
Kate Spade Supercalifragilipstick in Adventurous Red

FOTD: Bronze & Red

I wanted to do something warm and wearable with bronze and red. So I pulled out some old favorites and matched them up with a couple of newcomers…

Armani Face Fabric in #5
Armani Sheer Bronzer in #5 (as blush)
Tarte Eyeshadow in Werewolf and Immortal (brows)
MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre (browbone)
IMAN Eyeshadow in Tiger Eye (lids/under waterline)

Tarte Eyeshadow in Immortal (lashline/under waterline)
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Zero
MAC False Lashes Mascara
Kate Spade Supercalifragilipstick In Adventerous Red

FOTD: Pop Art Pink

Okay, this is was admittedly slap-dash. I was moving fast with no plan and worried about daily crap… like everything but concentrating on doing my makeup. SMH. Anyways… here it is:

Chanel Perfection Lumiere (Beige-Ambre 64)
Armani Blushing Fabric in #1
Armani Gold Shimmer Powder (highlight)

Suqqu Eyebrow Pen in Moss Green
Armani Eyes To Kill Silk Eyeshadow in #9
Kat Von D Eyeliner (lashline)
Stila Smudge Stick in Stone (waterline)
MAC False Lashes Mascara

Lip Service: Supercalifragilipstick (the other three)

Kate Spade packed up and shipped out my last three lipsticks. They are ALL wearable… omg. I love them. I’m so happy with the tone and texture of these lippies… LOVE!

Ugh… fingerprints. Sorry guys. I should have wiped them down first.

Now, I know that the pink and the fuchsia colors look similar… they are NOT. I don’t know why they photographed that way. The fuchsia is muted and very wearable. The pink is bright and a little coral, but still pretty muted and very flattering. The red, for some dumb reason, appears to be ‘skipping’ in the photo. I triple checked my lips before and after the photo… and the color wears solid. So I really don’t know what that’s about.

I am very impressed by these lipsticks, and recommend them to anyone who is a fan of a fool proof color, wearable formula, and has a love of anything cute… girly… or vintage. These lipsticks are all of those things… and more. I can see getting LOTS of use out of them.

FOTD: Color blocking

Okay, for some reason I had in my head that I wanted to ‘color block’ my eyes. I chose coral and purple to get the job done. Here’s what happened:

Illamasqua Skin Base (#14)
Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer in 01 (as powder)
Armani Sheer Bronzer in #2 (as blush)
MAC Paint Pot in Coral Crepe (lids)
MAC Pigment in Electric Coral (lids)
Chanel Vanities/dark purple (crease/under waterline)
Chanel Vanities/light purple (above crease)
Bobbi Brown Violet Gel Liner (lashline)
Sumita Eye Pencil (waterline)
Chanel Intimitable Intense Mascara in Purple
Kate Spade Supercalifragilipstick in Bashful Blush

FOTD: Lagons

I have to take back what I said about Chanel Vanities being the most wearable of the two quads. Chanel Lagons is VERY wearable as well. I was impressed by the silkiness of the shadows and how effortlessly they blended together.

Sisley Phyto Teint Eclat (Honey)
Armani Loose Powder (Translucent)
Chanel Blush in Rose Ecrin
Chanel Lagons Eyeshadow Palette:
Darkest Blue on lids/underwaterline
Medium Blue blended through crease
Lightest Blue on inner corner
L’Oreal HIP Kohl in Navy on waterline
MAC False Lashes Mascara

Supercalifragilipstick: Bashful Blush

So you guys know that the minute I found out about this lipstick, I just HAD to try it out for myself. I joined the ‘pre order’ for all four colors, and the first of them arrived yesterday. For some reason, they’re sending them one at a time.
The first one I received was Bashful Blush:

Love the packaging! Very girly with a vintage feel… very Kate Spade.
Despite the color in the tube, the actual shade is NOT that dark. It looks like a rose in the tube, but applies a warm ‘blush’ color on my lips.

The formula is EXCELLENT. Distinctly Poppy King. She really left her mark on this formula and color transfer. The lipstick wears like Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine, but without the shine factor. It goes on easily… and the color wears soft and opaque. There is no weight to this lipstick at ALL.

I recommend this lippie for anyone who doesn’t want to go through changes about applying their lip color. It’s fool proof… like, put-on-in-the-dark proof. The color is subtle (you won’t be rocking any dramatic lip looks with this one), but it’s elegant and adorable all at once.

Kudos to Kate Spade and Poppy King. Supercalifragilipstick really is… Practically Perfect in Every Way.

Supercalifragilipstick: Practically Perfect in Every Way?

Clothing and accessories designer Kate Spade has teamed up with ‘Lipstick Queen’ Poppy King, to bring us  a little splash of color that would make Mary Poppins proud…

They’ve released an adorable line of of Lipstick/Lipgloss hybrids appropriately called: Supercalifragilipstick!

Anyone who’s ever tried a lippie from Poppy King knows that she knows her stuff. So I trust her judgement when it comes to the ultimate combination of great color, long wear, and a good ‘feeling’ lip product.

Just based on the picture alone, I want them all! Naturally, I’ll have to try them on in person to be sure.

Supercalifragilipstick is available for ‘pre order’ on the Kate Spade website:

They retail for $24 a pop.
