FOTD: Mitzah

I really can’t justify plunking down $90 for the new Dior Mitzah palette. I love the idea of the leopard print beauty, but the colors are so dupeable that the truth is I’d never actually use it… so therefore I’ve determined that I don’t need it.

Still, I wanted to do a little something using just the Mitzah Mascara:

FACE
Rock & Republic Tinted Illuminizer (Roxanne)
Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation (Ambre 94)
Chanel Loose Powder (Dore)
Chanel Blush in Rose Ecrin
EYES
Louise Young Eyeshadow in Pom Pom (brows)
NARS Eyeshadow in Estrusque (lids/under waterline)
NARS Eyeshadow in Mekong (lashline/under waterline)
Styli-Style Eye Pencil in Brown/Black
Dior Mitzah Mascara
LIPS
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Deauville

FOTD: Bright Grey

It’s a gloomy day in Southern California today. But I still dug into the new summer colors from Chanel. For today’s face, I used two colors from the Lilium Quad:

Lord help the shiny children! Whyyyyyyyy did all that shine show up? My goodness, the flash is my enemy, I swear. The actual (real life) finish was soft, not shiny. Anyway, here’s what I used:

FACE
Guerlain Parure Extreme (Dore 24)
Guerlain Terracotta (Clair 01)
Chanel Blush in Rose Temptation
EYES
Chanel Lilium Quad:
Shimmer Pink from lashline to browbone
Shimmer Lavender/Grey on lids
Chanel Eye Pencil in Rose Platine (waterline/underwaterline)
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara
LIPS
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Deauville

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine: A Swatch & A Summer Update

Hey guys…

I got to get (and swatch) the next Rouge Coco Shine in Deauville:

Although Deauville is from the ‘brown’ family, it goes mauve on me. All of the ‘browns’ from this line do. The darkest ‘brown’ is nearly purple on me. You should definitely swatch these first. Don’t buy them sight unseen (I nearly did, and I would NOT have been happy). But know that the color payoff and the feeling (like lip balm) makes these totally worth a purchase. They smell divine (like rose) too.

Summer Update

It looks like the collection will be out next week. At least that’s what I’m told. It’s already been shipped. I plan to put eyes (and possibly hands) on it by Friday coming. We’ll see. I’m still working to get in front of this car note business. lol

If the blush/bronzers are as lovely as they seem, they’re totally worth a giveaway. I’ll have to mess with them first. Ditto for that Mimosa nail polish. Turns out, it’s not as ‘bright yellow’ as it seems.

I’ll get the rest of the Rouge Coco Shine swatches up in a bit.

Ciao for now!
