FOTD: Haughty Neutral

I pulled two of the most neutral shades from the new Haughty Eyeshadow Collection, Confidence (matte) and Beauty (shimmer)

I layered them with Strength (black matte) for a simple look.

Now, after eight hours of wear, there was no creasing… but there was some fading. I wore these shadows with no primer. So it’s possible that primer will help them stay put longer.
8 hours later:

Becca Radiant Skin Satin Finish Foundation (Amber)

I know that I just screamed from the rooftops all the fabulous things about Becca Luminous Skin Colour…
But the company recently released a new foundation (in a million shade ranges) that has more coverage, and a bit of a matte finish. I actually don’t know why it’s called ‘satin’ finish… this stuff’s totally matte on me.

I like it for coverage — and found that it’s best applied with fingers. I don’t think this foundation has a lick of SPF  in it (it’s not mentioned anywhere on the packaging, although titanium dioxide is listed in the ingredients)… so you’ll need to wear a sunscreen under it (which you should wear under foundation anyway). On the up side… no (or low) SPF means less likelihood of flashback.

I wore it a recent FOTD (with sunscreen under it) and it wore well for most of the day. I did start to get oily halfway through the day though.. so I had to blot.

Lip Service: Chantecaille China Rose

Although dark, dangerous lip colors are all the rage for the the Winter/Holiday season, I fell in love with a sheer warm blush color from Chantecaille… called China Rose:

Although it looks pretty strong in the tube, it applies very sheer. I think the color is universally flattering because it’s so sheer.

I even put some makeup on this annoyed skin of mine and braved an FOTD. 🙂 You can find out more about Chantecaille Hydra Lip Chic in ‘China Rose at Space NK
