Chanel Spring 2012: Rouge Coco Shine (Flirt)

Another piece of the collection arrived: The Rouge Coco Shine in Flirt. It’s a warm coral-pink, that is surprisingly flattering on my warm skin tone. I had my reservations, but it turns out I was worried about nothing.

As you can see, it’s more pink than Misia, despite their similarities in the tube. I really like it. It’s perfect for Spring.

FOTD: Mitzah

I really can’t justify plunking down $90 for the new Dior Mitzah palette. I love the idea of the leopard print beauty, but the colors are so dupeable that the truth is I’d never actually use it… so therefore I’ve determined that I don’t need it.

Still, I wanted to do a little something using just the Mitzah Mascara:

Rock & Republic Tinted Illuminizer (Roxanne)
Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation (Ambre 94)
Chanel Loose Powder (Dore)
Chanel Blush in Rose Ecrin

FOTD: Summer Greens

I didn’t really have a plan… I just wanted something fresh and green(ish):

*The Rose Ecrin Blush was a gift. I said Thank You and have decided to keep it.*

FOTN: Chanel Illusion d’Ombre (Mirifique)

I road tested the new Chanel cream shadow in Mirifique, and it performed surprisingly better than I’d expected. I found that if you do indeed lay them over a powder (or a base) to give them something to stick to, then they don’t crease as much. So I used the beige color from the Prelude quad as a base, and laid Mirifique over it. It did crease a bit in the ‘crease’ of my eyes, but not much more than that.

As you can see, the glitter does transfer by touch. There is no fallout, but you should be aware of the transfer in your product placement.
