I wanted to see what the Guerlain shadows could do as a base… boy do they work! MAC pigments have left much to be desired of late (creasing and fallout and what not), so I used Guerlain’s cream shadow in Bahia under a rose pigment. Here’s the result:
Gah, ignore the eyebrows. This was a rush job. I had run a bit of Stila Smudgestick through them… apparently I didn’t get them even. Anyway, here’s the rest…
Guerlain Cream Shadow in Bahia (lashline to brow)
MAC Pigment in Rose (lids to crease)
Stila Smudgestick in Onyx (brows and waterline)
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara
Eh, I’m in a Guerlain kind of mood. So I used mostly items from the Summer 2011 collection to bring together this look:
Guerlain Cream Eyeshadow in Maya (lids)
Guerlain Cream Eyeshadow in Bahia (browbone)
Guerlain Terracotta Kohl in Black Fakir (waterline)
Armani Eyes To Kill Mascara
Guerlain Tinted Moisturizer (brunettes)
Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer in Clair 01
Guerlain Terra Inca Radiant Powder
Chanel Lip Pencil in Peche
Guerlain Rouge Automatique in Jicky
I really think that the winner of this year’s Summer Collections is Guerlain. The pieces are just exquisite, and form a cohesive image for a complete summer look.
The Ombre Fusion Cream Eyeshadows are noteworthy. Despite the applicator (unsanitary), these eyeshadows are simply amazing.

Hate the applicator. Hate.
These blend out SO BEAUTIFULLY. And they don’t budge. I had a bit of a time getting them off. They set in about 30 seconds. After that, you’re stuck with them in whatever position you’ve applied them. They come off with makeup remover. I’m highly impressed with the staying power of these little beauties. This entire collection is just divine. I love every part of it. Kudos to Guerlain. They win the collection wars this summer.
