FOTD: Bad Girl Gone Grey

I dug back into the Sleek ‘Bad Girl’ palette… using the dark, medium, and lightest greys:

Make Up For Ever HD Fooundation (#173)
Chanel Loose Powder (Dore)
MAC Blush in Sur
Sleek Bad Girl Palette
Lightest Grey under browbone
Medium Grey in crease
Darkest Grey on lid and under waterline
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero
Maybelline Falsies Mascara
Dior Lip Gloss in Gris Trianon
*As you can see, the lipgloss doesn’t really do anything other than add a sheen to my lips. My lips are pretty pigmented, so that might also be the reason why I get no color payoff when I use this gloss alone.*

Extreme Blue Smoke

I think I should blame the movie ‘Galaxy Quest’ for this one… it’s on in the background while I’m playing in makeup.
I don’t know about this… I think it’s less Art and more Ultimate Dallas Cowboys Fan:

Sleek Bad Girl Palette
Lightest Silver (inner corner)
Medium Grey (center lid)
Lighter Blue (outer corner)
Darkest Blue (crease)
White (browbone)
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Deviant (waterline)
Buxom Mascara

Sleek Bad Girl Palette… Got The Blues

Well, it’s late… but for some reason I decided to dive into the blue portion of the Sleek Bad Girl Palette. Pictures simply don’t do these blues justice. One packs on a dark matte aquamarine… the other more of a shimmer version. I combined the two with the silvery color in the palette:

Yes, it could have been neater. Next time… hmmm? This is basically three colors, packed and blended together. I cannot say enough good things about this palette. I am seriously considering a backup. It’s THAT good.

FOTD: Too much Sleek, Too little Time

Whew… I don’t know WHAT I was thinking, trying to mess with this palette inside a 15 minute window! I tackled the greens (which translate more of a black based teal on me) this time. OMG.

And I’ll have you know that I went out in public like that. Damned Shame. Scared the CRAP out of some small children, I’m sure. This palette ought to be handled with care. You don’t need to pack the shadows… well, you can… but you certainly don’t need to. They are SO friggin’ pigmented! I got a lot of fallout with this look; hard to round out that smoky eye when you’ve packed on too much shadow to begin with. Boo to me. But, eventually it began to take shape.

Next time, I’ll mess with the stronger colors when I’ve got more than 15 minutes to put my face together. SMH.

Guerlain Parure Aqua (Dore 25)

Sleek Contour Kit in Medium (just the contour/no highlight)
Sleek Bad Girl Palette:

Iridescent White up to the browbone and inner corner
Dior Backstage Mascara
Chanel Lip Pencil in Cognac

Covet Worthy: Sleek ‘Bad Girl’ Palette

Sleek has to be the little company that could… if there ever was one! I first heard about it last year… and I’ve been stacking palettes ever since. I understand that the company is going through a ‘resurgence’ of some kind, after going bust a couple decades ago. Don’t hold me to it… I may have gotten bad info.

In any case, their eyeshadow palettes are AMAZING. Besides their incredible pigmentation, blendability and staying powder, the palettes are very inexpensive! It’s Rock & Republic quality with Wet n’ Wild prices. Unbeatable.

The latest addition to their shadow collection is the Bad Girl Palette. LOVE! Look at this…

This kind of reminds me of the Graphite Palette (also divine), but there are greens and a shimmer champagne color in here. I think there’s even a couple of mattes (okay, maybe one). I’m very excited about this…

If you can, get it. Sleek palettes tend to come and go rather quickly. Now that they have a website that ships worldwide, you’ve got no excuse!
