FOTD: Big Bounce

So, I tried the Big Bounce creams. I have to say, for me they’re a big bust. You really can’t use them with brushes (they skip) and unless the skin surface is totally dry, they will crease like you won’t believe. I set my lids with Armani Silk Eyeshadow in #10. That seemed to help.

Lip Service: Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Adventure

I thought it was high time I dove into the pink selection in the Rouge Coco Shine line. Of the pinks the only ones that look good on me are Boy and Adventure. I like both because they have warmer undertones. Adventure features a distinct gold sparkle that really allows the color to be universally flattering.

So I head over to Chanel at Nordies and tell Laura that I need Adventure… and she gives me this look like she’s not up for my shenanigans today.

Laura: Why do you need it?
Me: I only have one of the Pinks and Adventure is the only other one that’s flattering.

*she raises an eyebrow*

Laura: You sure you don’t want it because of the wedding?
Me: What wedding? Who’s getting married?
Laura: The ROYAL Wedding. You don’t know this?
Me: No…
Laura: Girl, we just got a press release saying that Kate Middleton wore Adventure for the wedding… and now women have been coming in DROVES asking me to sell them the wedding lipstick!

At that point I start laughing because I realize that she’s totally frustrated. I’m actually surprised that they hadn’t sold out. So is she. But she said it’s been a rough week. Ever since folks found out that Middleton used that lipstick, they’ve been dying to get their  hands on it.

Wedding hype aside, I bought it anyway. I really like it. It’s a good flattering pink, with just a  hint of gold shimmer.

Kate Middleton clearly has excellent taste in lipstick.
