Eye Adore: Tom Ford Eye Color Cream (Platinum & Spice)

So I’m totally late to this… by like YEARS. When Tom Ford first released Cream Color for Eyes in Platinum and Spice, I was into something else and not really caring. But this time, when the repromote came ’round, I partook in the Tom Ford creamy goodness.

I’ve been experimenting with the creams alone… and I’m happy to report that they do not crease or fade on me. No base, no problem. Just me and my oily lids. The creams performed like champs.

Lip Service: Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G in Confession

Hey Guys,

Been a minute since my last post. I apologize. I scored Charlotte Tilbury‘s latest addition to the Lipstick Tree … the nude in Confession. It’s a shimmering nude that doesn’t really pull pink, even on my warm skintone. Observe…

This lipstick turned out to be a big hit this holiday season. It’s been sold out at Nordstrom (unless you pony up for the full $240 kit.. NO) for at least a week. They pulled it from the site and all of the stores are out (yes, I checked). Tilbury still has it up on her website for $32. I love it. Her lipsticks are incredibly pigmented and the formula grabs your lips like Rouge d’Armani (one of my favorites still). Confession is good. I dare say it’s almost as lovely for me as Hepburn Honey. Almost.

Holiday 2014: Chanel Reve d’ Orient

Chanel’s eyeshadow offering for Holiday 2014 is a must have. That’s all I’m going to say about that. No, I’m lying. Because seriously… it’s almost (ALMOST) up there with Topkapi (my ever Chanel quad favorite) in terms of color saturation, blendability and staying power.

I layered the colors lightly, but they build easily to full depth. And if you use a primer… omg. The black gets BLACK. Chanel has outdone itself with this one. I love it. Topkapi still takes top spot, but Reve d’ Orient is a close second. Check it out. You’ll be glad you did.

Shimmering FOTD’s

I picked up the Holiday offerings from Becca, and I have to say they are worth every penny.

The shimmering skin perfector trio sells for $25 at Sephora, and features a limited edition Champagne Gold. It’s truly lovely. Even with my warm skin tone, I can wear all three skin perfectors (the other colors are Moonstone and Opal).

This is with Champagne Gold. The shimmering skin perfector (and the powder) is on the browbone, cheekbones and cupid’s bow.

This is with Opal.

This is with Moonstone. (that flare on my upper lip is NOT the perfector). Some kind of flash flare. It’s only on my cheekbones in this FOTD.

The trio is good because you don’t use a lot of of shimmering skin perfector to get the job done. So it’s perfect for travel, and it’ll last. The powder is GORGEOUS. I love it. You can use it as a shadow and even over lip gloss to boost the golden shimmer factor. Good stuff. Both are available at Sephora in limited capacity.
